Lil' Dragons Karate

Lil' Dragons KinderKarate at E.Y. Martial Arts & Self-Defense Concepts is a unique program developed for pre-school and kindergarten aged children. This class, by design, is both fun and educational and utilizes the curiosity and boundless energy inherent in young children.

Each class is carefully structured to offer the greatest performance and learning environment for the children. Our warm and nurturing instructors bring to the class great energy and enthusiasm. They have been specifically trained to teach this unique curriculum. Our instructors guide the students through class from one activity to the next while encouraging and motivating each child to do his or her very best.

The Lil' Dragons curriculum uses the structure of traditional martial arts to develop:
• Fine and gross motor skills
• Spatial skills
• Listening skills
• Focus and concentration
• Memory
• Self control
• Socialization skills
• Self awareness skills

In tandem with developmental skills each child will also learn:
• Stranger awareness
• Safety 9-1-1
• Bully Busting
• Personal safety skills (such as poison safety, fire safety etc.)
• Traditional Korean martial arts
• And more!

Our goal is to inspire our students to succeed, setting them on a path for a bright future. Lil' Dragons classes are kept small allowing for the greatest student teacher ratio and parents are encouraged to take an active part in class.

A further word about martial arts training for young children.....

A common parental concern is that martial arts will encourage violence and aggression. The opposite is true. Through consistent training, children will quickly discover an inner confidence and strength which enables them to move beyond the need to prove themselves physically. Patience and tolerance replace anger and frustration, giving the the child the courage to walk away.

Martial arts training takes physical aggression and redirects it in a positive and constructive manner tempered with strict discipline and control. Parents are excited to see the self-discipline, focus control and increased concentration carry over into everyday life.

The physical, mental, emotional and developmental benefits provided by martial arts training are unparalleled. No other single activity will provide your child with all the benefits martial arts has to offer. It's no wonder that so many doctors and educators recommend martial arts training for children.
